The following information is being provided as required under the Student-Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act, Public Law 101-542, as amended by the Higher Education Technical Amendments of 1993, Public Law 102-26, and the Higher Education Technical Amendments of 1998, Public Law 105-244.

Of the 1567 first-time, full-time certificate or degree-seeking students who entered Union County College in Fall Semester 2004, 77 or 5% graduated and 230 or 15% transferred to a higher level program within eighteen months(for certificate students) or within three years (for associate degree students).  It should be noted that many students change their initial enrollment status from full-time to part-time due to family or employment responsibilities and this extends the length of time needed to graduate beyond three years. 

An additional 23% or 366 of the 1567students in the cohort were still enrolled at Union County College.  A number of  factors may account for students' delay in graduation or transfer. Students may require more than eighteen months for those in certificate programs or three years for those in associate degree programs to complete their degree due to the need to finish remedial course work which may add at least one semester or more to the length of time needed for a degree.
