IDENTIFICATION OF JOB GROUPS BY EEO CATEGORY
EEO Category Job Group Criteria
Executive Executive This group consists of the highest Administrator Management ranking adminstrators in the College. Such jobs often carry titles such as President, Vice President. This job group will consist of fewer job titles than most.
Faculty Professors and College professors and Instructors Instructors consist of two groups: Permanent and Temporary assignments.
Professionals Other Professionals This job group should be used for all personnel for which a degree is a legitimate hiring or promotion requirement, but not necessarily in a technical discipline.
Clerical Secretaries This job group should include those workers who perform all clerical-type work in the office. This job group will usually have the highest level of clerical workers, and may include Executive Secretaries, Administrative Assistants, Secretaries and data entry clerks.
Technicians Technicians- This job group should be used for Scientific personnel who are involved in scientific, engineering, laboratory work, and computer work.
Craftsmen Rationale Craftsmen may be grouped by function and by labor grade, as well as by whether or not they are exempt. Suggested job groups are Mechanics and Maintenance. The types of functions into which craftspeople are grouped will depend on the type of operations at the facility.
Service Rationale The workers in this category Maintenance should be grouped together as Service. Examples in this group are: Security Guard, and Janitor.
