Successful integration of instructional technology doesn't always come through a few precious moments squeezed in during the course of a hectic day or even through divine inspiration. As a faculty member you need to know that there is a resource you can turn to, no matter what you need to do, to utilize the technology available to you.
Whether you've never used a particular application before, or you're pushing the envelope of an application you've used for years, you can turn to the Faculty Resource Center for support. The Center has four dedicated computer pods for working on the state of the art equipment.
The staff of the FSRC can instruct you on how to: capture and digitize printed materials, still images, video, and audio; develop presentation materials for use in the classroom and over the Internet; create DVD's containing digitized materials or presentations or safely transport files electronically across campus or anywhere around the globe.
The center offers faculty and staff access to technologies for multimedia development and experimenting with content of video, images and text. These technologies are constantly evaluated in the face of industry trends, college needs and faculty use. All computers in the Resource Center are connected to the Internet. Multimedia and workstations are available with Windows and Mac systems.
The center also has an array of software applications including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Premiere, Director, Illustrator, Photoshop, FreeHand, and other software packages.
