About UCC - Save Your Favorite Web Sites

If you have favorite places or bookmarks saved in your Internet Web browser, and wish to access those sites from another computer, Internet Explorer 6 or later provides an easy way to do that.

  • Insert a disk or USB Key Drive:  Create a folder named Favorites.
  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Click on File/Import and Export.
  • The Export Wizard appears.  Click Next.
  • A list appears.  You can import or export favorites or cookies.  Cookies are records of sites you have visited recently on the Web.
  • Select Export Favorites and click Next.
  • Click on the folder you wish to export and then click Next.
  • You can see that if you wish to export to another browser on your system, e.g. Netscape, you can simply click Next.
  • Click on the second option - Export to a File or Address.  Click on the Browse button until you locate the appropriate drive
  • Type a name for the file and click Save.
  • Click Next and then click Finish
  • To access the sites from a browser on another computer, insert the storage media in the other computer.   Open the browser and go through the same process, beginning with File/Import and Export.
