Academics - Courses in the Chemistry Program

Union County College offers an Associate in Arts degree in Chemistry. The program parallels the first two years of the baccalaureate degree and provides students with the scientific knowledge and skill necessary to transfer into a baccalaureate program in Chemistry. The Chemistry program is strongly recommended for Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, Pre-Pharmacy and Pre-Chiropractic students. Laboratory training is provided, as well as course work in mathematics, physics, social sciences, humanities and languages.

Union County College has transfer articulation agreements with a number of nearby four year institutions of higher education. These include Rutgers The State University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Kean College, Seton Hall University, and New York University. Students have transferred to other major universities throughout the country.

A transfer counselor is available to assist students in this procedure.
