Students who lack a high school diploma or equivalent and are seeking federal student aid support must prove their Ability to Benefit from a postsecondary program of study. To determine the Ability to Benefit, students must take the Computerized Placement Test Accuplacer through the Union County College Assessment Center. Scores received in this test must be brought to the Financial Aid Office on the Cranford campus for review.
The Institute for Intensive English is a model for teaching English as a Second Language. Each year over 2,000 students representing 80+ countries and speaking 40 different languages enroll in ESL classes on the Elizabeth campus.
