Laboratory component of che 106 300. Separate registration for this lab accompanies registration for CHE 106 300. Students come to campus for lab kit distribution. All lab experiments are completed at home. Distant students may need to make alternative plans to obtain their kits.

Testing Information:

Online lab quizzes are given and an in person proctored lab final exam accompanied by lab kit return. All exams are scheduled at a time that is individually convenient. Union County College students are expected to come to campus for these tests. Students from other institutions who live a distance away may arrange to take proctored tests at local sites. Contact the professor for this course to make these arrangements.

Textbook(s):

None. All lab reports and directions are provided online. The required refundable lab kit deposit of $100 is payable when kits are distributed at the on campus orientation for this course. Cash or checks payable to "Union County College" are acceptable.

Java, Javascript and cookie enabled supported browser.

IE 6.0(PC), IE 5.2(Mac), Netscape 6.2.x or Mozilla 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7(PC & Mac)(AOL is NOT a useable browser for this course!)

Hardware: Pentium-based or equivalent with 500 MHz or higher processor, 64 MB RAM or better and 500 MB or higher of available disk space

Operating system: IBM/Intel: Windows 98/ /2000/XP or Apple Macintosh: Mac OS 9 or OS X 10.1, 10.2 or 10.3

MS WORD 97 or higher for sending assignments as email attachments

RELIABLE Internet Connection- A dial-up with a minimum of 28.8 modem or a T1, DSL or cable broadband connection

Email program to send and receive graphical attachments
