Introduction to Biology
BIO 120 300

A one-semester introductory course for non-Biology majors covering the basics of life science including scientific method, origin of life, the cell, energy processes, genetics, evolution, and other topics which can be applied to everyday living. BIO 101 without the laboratory component. This course will not fulfill a college laboratory science requirement. Permission of Department Chair required. 3 lecture hours per week. 3 credit hours.

Testing Information:

Four exams will be given on the Cranford campus. Exam dates will be announced at the start of the semester. Written assignments are submitted online. Bio 120 is not a lab science course. Enrollment is restricted and students must receive permission from the Chair of the Biology Department. Contact Dr. Rohrer for details.

Students must have an access code to the Prentice Hall website. The access code comes free with new copies of the textbook or it can be purchased separately.
