To introduce the student to practical mathematics applications related to their field of study. The course will evolve through basic mathematics into formulas that apply to radiation exposure, dose, conversions, decay, attenuation, HAL, shielding, radiopharmaceutical and physics applications for all radiography, nuclear medicine technology and radiation therapy students. Prerequisite: MAT 119. 3 lecture hours per week. 2 credit hours | |

This course is designed for all imaging modalities. It will give the student their modality specific mathematics needed for the core courses throughout their education in the specialty areas. All quizzes and examinations are administered on line throughout the semester except the final examination. This will be given at the school based on the calendar date specified. Assignments will be submitted on line. | |

This book is only recommended for Nuclear Medicine students. All other students will have the materials needed for the course on line without a textbook. | |
