The fundamentals of college algebra, including graphs of linear equations, equations of lines, systems of equations, inequalities, the algebra of polynomials, factoring, rational expressions, radical expressions, and rational exponents. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or higher in MAT 016  and ENG 089, or satisfactory performance on the College Basic Skills Placement Test. 3 lecture hours per week. 3 credit hours.

Ungraded and graded homework assignment after each section. On campus midterm and Final exam. Exception will be given to students who cannot come to campus due to distance, disability, time constraints, etc. to arrange for a proctored exam in an appropriate site (a local college test center, library, etc.). Students need to make such arrangements.
