EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY FUND PROGRAM
The Educational Opportunity Fund Program (EOF) is a state funded program that provides students from disadvantaged communities, who demonstrate a potential for academic success, an opportunity to attend college. The primary goals of the program are retention, graduation, and transfer. Program services include specialized career and academic counseling, structured tutorial support, leadership development, and financial aid assistance. These services help the students to bridge the gap between their high school preparation and their college educational needs and goals. EOF counselors work closely with program participants to develop an educational, academic and career plan that is individualized. The plan enables students to achieve realistic academic, personal and career goals.
Students interested in the program should file the free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at: http: www.fafsa.ed.gov to determine financial eligibility for the program. Students who are accepted into the program are expected to attend an orientation in the summer prior to entering the program for the fall semester.
Prospective students should contact the EOF office for further information and an application. Call (908)-709-7088.
