Student Services - Mark Domashinski - Head Coach Baseball
Mark Domashinski has been at the helm of the Owls Baseball team since the start of the 2002 season. This past spring, the Owls finished 19-18, the first time in school history the program completed back-to-back over .500 seasons. Included in that performance was the first victory in a Region XIX tournament contest. The 2007 season followed 2006's school record 24-13 mark, which included a tie for second place in the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).

These recent successes have propelled 4 former All-Region XIX/GSAC players to continue their careers in the NCAA's Division III New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC). Anthony Cacchiola (NJCAA 2006 All-American/ New Jersey City University), Dan Zika (Rutgers Newark), Jeff DellaPiazza (Montclair State), and Michael Streaman (Montclair State) will be continuing their UCC successes in 2008.

Prior to coming to UCC as an assistant in 2001, Mark was an assistant at Carteret High School, his alma-mater, from 1994-2000, where he has been a teacher of middle school American History since the fall of 1995. As a CHS player, Mark earned All-County accolades his senior season and was a vital member of Carteret's 1988 Central Jersey Group 2 State Championship team, which also captured the Greater Middlesex Conference title (the only Group 2 school ever to do so).

Coach Domashinski earned a degree in business management from Monmouth University in 1993. He was a starting 1B/CF for the Hawks for 3-plus seasons, including a Northeast Conference Championship and an appearance in the 1991 NCAA Tournament. Mark still holds Monmouth's single season record of 6 triples (1993), and had his career mark of 10 eclipsed in 2006. he continues to work at Monmouth's summer baseball camps.
