T.C. Flynn-Morris - Women's Basketball

T.C. Flynn Morris-Class of 1980 Women’s Basketball

T.C. was a NJCAA All-American and scored 1301 points which is a Union County College record. She was also All Region 19 and All-GSAC. T.C. was honored with the Lombardi Award for being the Outstanding Athlete in Union County. T.C.’s team won the Regional’s and GSAC Tournaments and appeared in the NJCAA National Tournament in Kansas City. Her T.C holds many UCC Records and was named MVP of the NJCAA National All-Star Game. Her Basketball Jersey #10 was the first to be retired and can be viewed in the Campus Center. T.C. graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University on and athletic scholarship.

Nancy Foster - Women's Basketball

Nancy Foster-Class of 1989 Women’s Basketball

Nancy was a Kodak and NJCAA All-American and All-Academic and scored 1028 points. Nancy was awarded the Ben Johnson Award for Academic Excellence in the State of New Jersey. She was also All-Region 19 and All-GSAC. Nancy was honored with the Lombardi Award for being the Outstanding Amateur Athlete in Union County. She was also MVP of the Region 19 Tournament. Nancy’s team won the Regionals and GSAC Tournaments and appeared in the NJCAA National Tournament in Mississippi. Her Basketball Jersey #44 has been retired and can be viewed in the Campus center. Nancy was offered a full Athletic Scholarship to the University of Massachusetts but decide to start her formal career and Nancy graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

Joan Harris-Polidore - Women's Basketball

Joan Harris Polidore-Class of 1977 Women’s Basketball

Joan was an All-American, All-Region and All-Conference award winner and scored 1006 points. She was also MVP of the Region 19 Tournament Joan owns a NJCAA National Record for making 31 consecutive free throws without a miss. Joan’s team won the Regional’s and GSAC Tournaments and appeared in the NJCAA National Tournament in Kansas City. Joan graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University on an Athletic Scholarship.

Kathi Penczak - Women's Basketball

Kathi Penczak-Class of 1977 Women’s Basketball

Kathi was the first athlete in any sport to attain All-American status. She was also the first athlete, male or female, to receive an Athletic Scholarship at Union Count College. Kathi scored 1109 points was All-Region and All-GSAC. She was also MVP of the Region 19 Tournament. Kathi’s Team was the first ever at Union County College to garner a Regional and GSAC Title as well as an appearance in the NJCAA National Tournament in Kansas City. Kathi graduated from Morris Harvey University in West Virginia. Kathi on an Athletic Scholarship and played for the St. Louis Streak which was a professional women’s basketball team in the 70’s.

Fred Perry - Coach

Fred Perry-Class of 1969 Coach

Fred Perry coached the Women’s Basketball Team at Union County College and is also inducted in the NJCAA National Hall of Fame. He coached from 1974-through 1995. Fred Perry was the Athletic Director at Union County College and graduated from Kean University. His record was 434-150.
