Monday October 28, 2008: Men's Soccer Athletes receives recognition.
Despite ending the season struggling, three of the team members were noticed for their strong efforts. Dmytro Tereshcuk and Patrick Osei-Frimpong were named Forward and Back on the 1st Team All Garden State Athletic Conference, respectfully. Also receiving notoriety were Brighton Doughan and Patrick Osei-Frimpong named Mid-Fielder and Back on the All Region XIX Team.

Wednesday October 15, 2008: Men's Soccer Team finishes Regular Season With Loss.
The Men competed against Mercer County Community College, a division I Team, but could not score in a 5-0 loss in Mercer County. The Men played strong and had many strong shots, but none found the net. They finished the regular season with a record of 6-4 and in 4th place in the conference. Their first Conference Tournament game will be Saturday October 18, 2008 against Bergen Community College in Bergen County. Their overall record this season is 7-7-3

Tuesday October 14, 2008: Men's Soccer record another win.
The Men's Soccer Team were in action against Ocean County Community College in a make-up game, in Cranford. They won 3-0 with Mike Ambrosini scoring twice and Dymytro Tereshcuk scoring once with the help of Joshua Swell, Clayton Borges, and Bright Doughan.
Sunday October 12, 2008: Men's Soccer Team wins 7-1 On The Road.
The Men traveled to Gloucester Community College. They had a fun day recording 7 goals and only allowing 1 by the Keepers hands. Dmytro Tereshcuk had 3 goals and 1 assist, Mike Ambrosini had 1 goal and 1 assist, Patrick Jean had 1 goal, Thomas Taylor had 1 goal, Paolo Lambrechts had 1 goal and 1 assist. Also contributing with assists were Joshua Sewell and Martin Sadi.
Saturday October11, 2008: Men's Soccer Team Experiencing 3 Game Slump.

The Men's Soccer Team hosted Brookdale Community College on Saturday. Even though the men played an aggressive game, Brookdale lead the entire game winning 4-0. The Men are now 4-4-1 in the conference and 5-6-3 overall. The Owl's will travel to Gloucester Community College on Sunday October 12, game starts at 12 noon.
Tuesday October 9, 2008: Men's Soccer drop second game in a row, to conference foe.
The Men's Soccer Team were once again on the road, this trip was to Morris County Community College, a conference team. The Men lost in regulation time 2-0, making their record at 4-3-1 in the conference and 5-5-3 overall. They have 3 more conference games to improve their record before the season closes on October 15. Come and root for your Owl's on Saturday October 11, 2008 at Noon in Cranford as they compete against Brookdale Community College.
Tuesday October7, 2008: The Men's Soccer Team lose heartbreaker.
The Men traveled to Bergen Community College for a conference match. However, Bergen came out on top 2-1 when overtime play expired. The Owl's had 10 shots on goal, but Fareed Adamu was the only one to find the net on an assist from Michael Ambrosini. The Soccer Team is now 4-2-1 in the conference and 5-4-3 overall, their next home competition will be on Saturday October 11,2008 against Brookdale Community College in Cranford. Come out and cheer them on!!
Sunday October 5, 2008: Men's Soccer Scores Second Clean Sheet.

The Men's Soccer Team won in a 5-0 shutout against Raritan Valley Community college on Sunday, in Cranford. Recording goals were Joshua Sewall assisted by Bright Doughan, Carlos Brufau assisted by Sewall, Dmytro Tereshcuk assisted by Brufau, Luis Campos assisted by Tereshcuk, and Michael Ambrosini had a solo shot. This is the second game of the season where the Owl's defense denied their opponent of scoring. The Men recorded their 5th win of the season, they are now 5-3-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the conference. They will travel to Bergen Community College on Tuesday October 7, 2008.
Friday October 3, 2008: Men's Soccer Team drops game on the road.
The Men's Soccer Team traveled to upstate New York to compete against Herkimer Community College, ranked #5 nationally. The Men played strong, but were only able to muster 1 goal against Herkimer's 3. Carlos Brufau scored the lone goal for the Owl's, who are now 4-3-3 overall and 3-1-1 in the conference. The Men will challenge Raritan Valley Community College, a conference game, on Sunday October 5, 2008 in Cranford, face off is at noon.
Saturday September 27: Men's Soccer game ends in tie.

The men’s Soccer Team played to an overtime tie against Middlesex County College today in Cranford. The owl's controlled the scoreboard for most of the game after Carlos Brufau scored on an indirect kick early in the first half to make the game 1-0. With 4 minutes left to play in the game Middlesex tied up the score on a penalty kick, to send the game into overtime. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. The Owl's will play against Ulster Community College, weather permitting, tomorrow Sunday September 28, 2008 at 1:00pm in Cranford.
Tuesday September 23, 2008: Men's Soccer Wins Again.
The UCC Men's continue to come together as a team, The Owls recorded another win as they cruised past Passaic County Community College 7-1 in Passaic. The Men played a very articulated game with crisp passing and smooth ball handling skills. Demytro Tereshchuck, Bright Yaw Doughan, and Michael Anbrosini each had 2 goals while Carlos Brufau contributed 1 goal. The Owl's improved their record to 3-1 in the Region and 4-2-2 overall. They will Challenge Middlesex Community College on Saturday September 27th in Cranford at 12:oopm.
Sunday September 21, 2008: UCC Men's Soccer Take another Victory
The Men's Soccer Team was victorious 4-2 in a grueling game against Manor College on Sunday afternoon. Scoring came from Dymytro Tereshchuk, Kemar Richards, Fareed Adamu, and Michael Ambrosini who all had 1 goal apiece.
September 20, 2008: Men's Soccer outlasts opponent

The Men's Soccer Team endured another overtime game with a win. After being tie 1-1 most of the game the Owl's went into the second half of overtime looking for a goal. It finally happened in the last five minutes. The Owl's had many strong shots, but most were not accurately placed. The first score came from Fareed Adamu and the winning goal came from Dmytro Tereshchuk. The Owl's are now 2-2-2 overall and 2-2-0 in the conference after knocking off Delaware Tech., a division I NJCAA team, today in Cranford. The Men will travel to Manor College on Sunday September 21, 2008 for noon game.
September 16, 2008: UCC Men's Soccer battle back, but come up short.
 Patrick Osi-Frimpong gets double teamed
The Owls lost a strong battle against Camden Community College in Cranford today. After being down 3-0 they came close to getting the score even before the game ended. The Men had 6 strong shots on goal while only 2 of them managed to get past the goalies hands to end the game 3-2 in favor of Camden. The first goal for UCC was scored off the head of Patrick Jean and the second score came from Mike Ambrosini's powerful foot. The Owls will meet Del Tech -Scranton on Saturday September 20, 2008 at home, a noon faceoff will take place.
9/13/08: UCC Men's Soccer Scores First Victory.
The Men's Soccer Team scored their first victory of the season today defeating Sussex County Community College 3-2, in a conference match. Scoring was lead by Sidney Auguste assisted by Patrick Osei-Frimpong, Thomas Taylor, and Mike Ambrosini assisted by Osei-Frimpong. The Owl's record is now 1-0-0 in conference competition, 1-1-2 overall. The Owl's will take on Camden Community College on Tuesday September 16, 2008 at home in Cranford at 3:30pm.
September 11, 2008: UCC Men's Soccer drops game to essex Community College;
Despite having 12 strong shots the Owl's could only find the net twice in a 4-2 loss to Essex County Community College, a Division I program, in Cranford. The goals were scored by Bright Dougham and Sidner Auguste. The Owl's record is now 0-1-2 overall, but 0-0-0 in the conference. The UCC Owl's will be looking for their first win when they travel to Sussex Community College on Saturday September 13th at noon.

The Union County College Men’s soccer team traveled to Maryland to open their season against Montgomery College-Rockville. The game resulted in a 1-1 tie. Union had plenty of scoring opportunities but only could connect once. Sophomore forward, Dymtro Tereshchuk, was assisted on this goal by Freshman Kemar Richards.
UCC entered the game ranked third in the nation in the pre-season NJCAA Coaches Poll and Montgomery College- Rockville was fifth.
2007 National Junior College Soccer Coach of the Year, Alex Louis, lead a team of 25 UCC student-athletes to the “Old Line State” for two games against top teams. Tomorrow, 8/30, the Owls will play Anne Arundel Community College (#11) in a contest beginning at 2 PM
The Owls are reigning Garden State Athletic Conference Champions, Region XIX Champions, and District 4 Champions.
UCC completed last year with a 22-1 record and outscored their opponents 128-16 during their 23 contests..
Union will return to New Jersey this weekend and play County College of Morris next Saturday 9/6 in Randolph, NJ at noon.
The Owls home opener is slated for Tuesday Sept. 9 at Shane Walsh Field against the Vikings of Ocean County College.
Game time is 3:30.
