COMPONENTS OF LA CLAVE

A. Thematic Courses in Education or Busines are deigned for Latino Males pursuing a field in either Education or Business. Thematic courses will expore topics pertinent to the field.
 
Education Thematic Course:
UCC101001 MWF 1:25 - 2:20 pm Cranford
The thematic UCC101001 course for Education majors consists of 2 hours of UCC101 and 1 hour of an introduction to the field of Education.
 
Business Thematic Learning Community:
UCC101006 MW 10:10 - 11:05 am Cranford
 
B. Professional Development Oppurtunities will include:
  • Monthly Lecture Series on relevant topics in Education and Business

  • Opportunities to attend local and national conferences/workshops

  • Participation in "Job Shadow Day"
 
C. Social and Professional Support Network includes
  • Thematic Mentor

  • ALC Tutor

  • Counselor

  • Latino Male Community Mentor (Latino professional from the community>

  • Faculty
 
D. Leadership Development Opportunities include:
  • Participation in Clave's Education or Business Student Organizations
