What is College Bound?

The YWC (Yes, We Can) College Bound Program is a collaborative program between Elizabeth H.S. and Union County College, funded by the NJ Commission on Higher Education, to assist student with their preparation for college. EHS and Union County College work together in an effort to strengthen students’ academic skills and increase their chances for high school graduation and entrance into college.

How do I qualify?

A student must be enrolled at Elizabeth H.S. and have a potential to succeed and a desire to attend college.

What are the program components?

The academic year programs consist of comprehensive academic sessions for twenty (20) Saturdays. The summer program consist of four (4) consecutive weeks. The program focuses on math, science, and technology skills; written and oral communication; counseling, leadership development, achievement and career exploration.

Parents are encouraged to attend (3) workshops and seminars designed to address their concerns. Topics include College Admissions, Financial Aid, and methods for assisting their child in developing good study habits.
