As part of UCC's Industry-Business Institute, the Center provides the following services for employers:
- Assistance finding qualified workers, free job posting, and job fairs
- Customized training for employees - including tuition free, grant supported courses
- Facilities rentals - including computer labs - for meetings and training
Residents seeking jobs or career advancement opportunities
The Center offers area residents:
- Career training programs in customer service, job search strategies, resume writing, conflict management, time management, comunication skill building and more
- Basic skills training including computers and English as a Second Language
- Vocational counseling
- Assistance with job placement
- Access to job bank
- National Professional Certification in Customer Services (to strengthen resumes)
The Retail Skills Center is in the Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth (exit 13A from the NJ Turnpike). The Retail Skills Center is conveniently located on the lower level - right below the Food Court – and is near the Concierge and Security Desks. The Jersey Gardens Mall is served by NJ Transit buses 24 and 40. Bus schedules available at www.njtransit.com. Note, the bus stop at Jersey Gardens is right near the Security office. If driving, park between the bus stop and Burlington Coat Factory.
