Boyd, Robin

As the Coordinator of Student Services for the Elizabeth Campus, Robin Boyd was in the center of the action when Hurricane Sandy struck during Oct. 29-30. She was among the first to report to duty on Thurs., Nov. 1 in Elizabeth and did "a little of everything." At the Elizabeth Command Center, her chief tasks were to look up contact information for faculty members and to help Enrollment Services Director Beatriz Rodriguez schedule the Cranford classes that were moving to the Elizabeth campus because of the power outage in Cranford. Her efforts on Thursday and Friday helped ensure that classes ran that weekend. The following Monday, she assumed her more traditional role in overseeing student services in Elizabeth. She also helped find work stations for the dozens of Cranford employees who were relocated to Elizabeth on Monday and Tuesday.
