Are you a member of any club or student group?: Hispanic Cultural Society, Current President.
Favorite Class at Union: English 099
– It was my first class in college. Professor Donavan was really helpful and
dedicated to our class. I learned so much and it opened doors for me to meet so
many people, because it was part of the Title V program, which I still
participate in and help in various events and activities!
Why did you choose Union?: It’s the Community College of my county. Union is more
affordable than other schools and there is so much diversity in cultures.
What is your fondest memory so far at Union?: The first event I organized for the Hispanic Cultural Society.
I saw so many students enjoy and learn about my culture. It was Hispanic Serving Institutions
week. We had food and different items from Hispanic countries. I'm Venezuelan and Colombian.
Interesting fact about yourself: I’m outgoing, friendly, love teaching others about my culture and
learning about theirs, and I love to help in anyway possible at Union County
What is the biggest adjustment you had to make coming to college?:
I have two children and a husband. My schedule and theirs is
sometimes really hard to manage.
Career or further education Goals: After Union County College, I plan to attend Kean University to
finish my Bachelors Degree and then earn a Master in education.
Is there anything else we ought
to know about you?: I work hard at everything I do. I enjoy
school and I try really hard to participate in most events and activities. I always
invite others to share the same energy and enthusiasm as me in Union County College.
