Favorite Class at Union: All the classes I have
attended were awesome. However, I would say my most favorite was Math 119, and my
next favorite was Psy 101. The first one with Professor Fisher, interacting with
My Lab Math web services, allowed me to review and learn more about Algebraic equations.
My second favorite was with Professor Teddy Cohen. What a master of Psychology classes!
We discussed learning, memory, behavior, and also the well known Classical Conditioning
(Pavlov's) as well as topics we saw on a daily basis. I would like to also
highlight Professor Sara Bontempo’s Advanced Publication Editing & Design course
where I learned a lot about design and photography. Professor Joanne Gouveia’s Publication
Editing & Design course discussed the layouts to create magazines and newspapers.
I’d also like to highlight Professor Stephen Kato in Television Field Production,
Intro to Poetry and Shakespeare with Professor Comeau, and Public Speaking with
Professor Comma – they’re all favorites to me.
Why did you choose Union?: Mainly because I found
the Multimedia program. My first goal was to get the Multimedia Development
Certificate. The ESL classes at Union were more intense than other places. So here
I am with the knowledge that I was looking for and the opportunity to achieve
my Associates Degree in the near future. So the real answer for this question should
be: because I want to achieve success with an affordable education budget.
What is your fondest memory so far at Union?: The
current administration at Union is making an integrated family at the College. I’ve
had the opportunity to photograph College events. I’ve worked with excellent
people. As the President, Dr. McMenamin has an incredible ability to motivate all
Interesting fact about yourself: I’m
persistent to achieve my goals. Persistence has to be your inner motivator to do
and not to try. Every day you have opportunities. What are you waiting for? Go for
it and just do it. We never stop learning, until our last day. Always do the right
thing. Never get what you want by passing over the others. Be competitive. Learn
from your mistakes and do it better than the last time. Be professional.
What is the biggest adjustment you had to make
coming to college?: There is not an adjustment to attend college. It is just the
decision to go and schedule your time. If someday you are down on the ground, never
forget that there exists a time to begin again and take a new chance to improve.
Career or further education Goals: Of course I
will continue studying. After getting my Associates Degree next year, I will pursue
my Bachelors Degree in Multimedia.
Is there anything else we ought to know about you?:
I consider myself as an altruistic person.
