PREPARE FOR COLLEGE-LEVEL MATH AND FOR STANDARDIZED MATH TESTS
This course of instruction is ideal for developmental math students as well as students preparing for the GED or ACCUPLACER exams, Knewton Math Readiness has increased pass rates in remedial math at some of the largest educational institutions in the country. Union County College is currently the only community college in New Jersey offering Knewton Math Readiness. Students work at their own pace through the adaptive course, skipping material they already know so they can focus on mastering new concepts. Students also have the opportunity to work in-person with highly qualified New Jersey certified math teachers. Offered through the Department of Continuing Education at Union County College, classes are eight weeks in duration and require two hours per week of classroom instruction and eight to ten hours per week of independent online effort. The math instructors are available electronically throughout the week. In order to enroll, students should have a minimum of a sixth-grade math proficiency level. Classes will be offered on Union County College’s Cranford and Elizabeth campuses. The program will be offered on the following dates: Saturday, January 5th, Cranford Campus, 12:00 2:00 pm or 2:30 4:30 pm; Sunday, January 6th, Elizabeth Campus, 12:00 2:00 pm or 2:30 4:30 pm; Saturday, February 2nd, Cranford Campus, 12:00 2:00 pm or 2:30 4:30 pm; Sunday, February 3rd, Elizabeth Campus, 12:00 2:00 pm or 2:30 4:30 pm.
