Interested in understanding the application process and how you can get involved in New Jersey’s medical marijuana program?

CRANFORD – The Office of Continuing Education at Union County College is offering a 3-hour program, Introduction to Cannabis, on Thursday, June 27, 2019. The program will cover the current state of cannabis in New Jersey, including its Request for Applications for up to 108 new businesses to serve the state’s medical marijuana program, its plans for broader legalization, and lessons that can be learned from states with more mature cannabis markets. The session will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the College’s Cranford campus.

All members of the public, including professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and local government officials, are invited to enroll and gain clarity into this rapidly changing industry.

This three-hour workshop will be facilitated by Jennifer Cabrera, an attorney with Vicente Sederberg LLP; and will include guest speakers Rani Soto, co-founder of LeafLaunch Holdings LLC and an advisor to the NJ Cannabis Industry Association, and Nicole Maguire, an attorney with Lindabury PC. The fee for the program is $59. Additionally, a patient-focused course will be held on July 11, 2019, and will cover the medicinal and therapeutic uses of cannabis.
