Practical Nursing Instructor Christiana Nwachukwu joined Union County College in January of 2010. At the Plainfield Campus, she teaches Adult Health Nursing I & II and clinical instruction in some of the area’s healthcare facilities. She has a passion for teaching her students and enjoys working with them as they transition from students to competent graduate nurses. Prof. Nwachukwu particularly identifies with most of our students having received an associate degree and a bachelor’s of Science degree in Food Science in Nigeria. In 1988, she came to United States to join her husband and raise a family. She knows firsthand the challenges that some of our students encounter. With an optimistic spirit, Prof. Nwachukwu urges our students to persevere in spite of any adversities, and to stay focused onsuccess. She has been a Registered Nurse since 1996. In 2007, she received her master of Science degree in Nursing from UMDNJ/Ramapo College of Nursing. Currently, Prof. Nwachukwu is completing her first year in a Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Sacred Heart University, Connecticut
