Associate Professor Dori Vicente serves as the coordinator for the Architecture Program. She is the curator for the Annual Union Architecture Student Exhibit in the Tomasulo Art Gallery and helps students skillfully display the products of their design skills for the public. Prof. Vicente also is the Architecture Club advisor and facilitates student attendance of various design events such as the Solar Decathlon to gain knowledge of the latest building technology. She mentors students to pursue a lifelong passion for the built environment and in particular enjoys hearing from former students who have become professional architects both locally and internationally. She facilitates meetings to analyze community needs and implements student projects as to help improve understanding of the local built environment. This allows the students to interact with “clients” in the design process and enhance their Design Portfolio. Prof. Vicente has Master’s of Science and a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
