Dr. Cynthia Roemer, Chair of the Mathematics Department, enjoys helping students to appreciate and succeed in mathematics, often implementing service-learning and technology. She was the recipient of the 2003 Union County Woman of Excellence Award in Education and a winner of the 2008 Neblett Prize for Educational Excellence. Committed to making a difference, Dr. Roemer is the founder of the College’s Student Volunteer Organization as well as MSA NJ, a non-profit to support those in our area afflicted with multiple system atrophy, a rare neurological disease. Dr. Roemer has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a doctorate from Columbia University.
