Dr. Denise C. Lagos is a Senior Professor of English in the Humanities Division at Union County College. As a language educator, Dr. Lagos has helped thousands of students through her teaching , mentoring, and advising . She is advisor and editor to The Foreign Student Voice, Union’s literary publication. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Arts from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Master of Arts in Teaching from Montclair State College, Master of Arts in Reading from Rutgers, Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision of Higher Education from Rutgers University, and a Master of Arts in English Literature from Drew University. Her Doctorate Degree in Language Education is from Rutgers University. Dr. Lagos is the recipient of numerous awards, The Woman of Excellence Award in Education in Union County, The Marcom Publication Award, and UCC Presidential Commendations.
