Dr. Elise Donovan has been teaching at Union County College since 1992 and has served as the Coordinator of Developmental English since 2006. This past year, Dr. Donovan has begun leading a re-design of the Developmental English program, working toward better student placement and offering students the opportunity to accelerate through the Developmental program. As part of the College’s Title V and STEM grants, she has helped to establish learning communities between English and Math classes and a computer classroom for Developmental Writing courses. Dr. Donovan also teaches English 102 online for students interested in exploring American literature in a writing-intensive self-paced course. Dr. Donovan earned her PhD in American Literature from the University of Southern California and her BA in Literature from the University of Pennsylvania.
