Elizabeth Ramos

Elizabeth Ramos is the Assistant Dean for the Social Sciences, Business, and History (SSBH) Division. In this role, she supports division initiatives by supervising adjunct instructors, contributing to curriculum development, assisting students with academic issues, and coordinating the academic schedule. Elizabeth has been a member of the Union community for 11 years serving in several roles.
Prior to her role in SSBH, Assistant Dean Ramos served as a Title V Project Director overseeing the administration of two five-year grants from the U.S. Department of Education’s Title V Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program, one for $3.2M and one for $3.3M. In both grants, she led and managed the implementation and daily operations, and ensured that all grant objectives and student learning outcomes were met. Assistant Dean Ramos and the Title V staff implemented multiple student-centered activities such as: student experiential learning opportunities, peer-led tutoring, and career panels with Hispanic/Latinx professionals in STEM and teacher education.
In addition, Assistant Dean Ramos has served as a past chair of the Hispanic Heritage Month Committee and accompanied Union students to the annual Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Conference (HACU).
Assistant Dean Ramos is a doctoral candidate at Saint Peter’s University in the Educational Leadership in Higher Education program. She holds two degrees from the College of Saint Elizabeth, a master’s degree in counseling psychology with a focus on college student affairs and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
