Associate Professor Laurie Sheldon has been the program coordinator for the Emergency Medical Technician program since 2006. EMT program trains more than 200 students a year. Prof. Sheldon has practices what she preaches: She has performed community service since 1983 as an EMT for the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad. She performs this voluntary EMT service overnight on Saturdays, riding to keep her skills sharp and to connect with what students are experiencing. Prof. Sheldon has a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from the American Military University. She also holds teaching certifications in EMT, CPR, Pre-Hospital Trauma, Pediatric and Geriatric Emergency Care.
