STEP 1: ATTEND AN INFORMATION SESSION
If you are interested in a chance to compete in the 3rd Annual UCNJ Business Center Pitch Competition, join us for one of the following information sessions. During the information session, you will find out how you can earn a $500 stipend and how to bring your innovative business idea to life to compete for a cash prize (up to $6,000)!!! You do not have to sign up for the information session – just come to N32 on any of the dates listed below.

STEP 2: ATTEND BUSINESS WORKSHOPS (FREE!)
During the information session you’ll learn how our FREE Business Workshops will help you develop your business plan and pitch like a pro. These workshops are packed with valuable skills you can use now and in the future to take your entrepreneurial journey to the next level.
As a participant, you’ll also have the chance to qualify for a $500 stipend—just by attending the required number of workshops and meeting the criteria noted below. Once you’ve completed the workshops and crafted your business plan and pitch presentation, you’ll be invited to the Preliminary Pitch Demonstration. This is your moment to shine and present your innovative ideas to the College community!
At the Preliminary Pitch Demonstration, judges will select the top participants to advance to the Final Pitch Competition, where the contestants will compete for exciting CASH PRIZES. But don’t worry—if you’re not chosen to move forward to the Pitch Competition, you could still qualify for the cash stipend just for participating in the workshops and meeting the criteria noted below.
CRITERIA – To be considered for the Workshop Stipend ($500) you must complete the following:
- Sign-up for the workshops here: UCNJ: Business Center – 2025 Pitch Workshops
- Attend 75% of the Business Center Workshops
- Complete the mandatory presentations during each Workshop.
- Complete the mandatory essay component as assigned by Dr. Smalls.
