High School Student Taking Classes

If you plan to attend UCNJ after your high school graduation, please then follow the instructions for first time new college students.

If you are a high school student in your Junior or Senior year with a cumulative B average or 3.0 GPA, you may apply for the Bridge Program to begin earning college credits.

If the college course you plan to take is being offered at your high school, please contact your guidance counselor.

If you have any questions throughout the application process, please email studentservices@ucc.edu or visit a Student Services Center in Cranford, Elizabeth, or Plainfield! No appointments – just walk in during open hours.

STEP 1: APPLY FOR ADMISSION

Fill out the application here. You must select NM.BRIDGE as your program major.

Submit an application. Please bring the application with you when you visit a Student Services Center to register.

 

STEP 2: TAKE THE PLACEMENT TEST

You must take the placement test unless you are exempt. Placement tests are walk-in (no appointments) and FREE. Visit HERE for placement testing locations and hours.

As a Bridge student, you may be exempt from testing based on having an SAT score of at least 540 in Critical Reading and 530 in Math.

You must test out of developmental math and English to be eligible for the Bridge program.

 

STEP 3: REGISTER FOR CLASSES

You must register in person at a Student Services Center in Cranford, Elizabeth, or Plainfield. You must hand in the completed Bridge Application before you are allowed to register.
