UCNJ STEM Division Student Research

Students interested in participating in research must commit to a semester-long project that involves working collaboratively with a small research team. Under the guidance of a faculty mentor, students will engage in original research, contribute to the development of a scientific journal entry, and uphold the standards of academic inquiry and collaboration. In addition to the written component, students are required to create a professional scientific poster summarizing their research question, methodology, findings, and conclusions. This poster will be presented on UCNJ’s Research Day, where students share their work alongside other researchers from across the college community. Participation in student research is a rewarding experience that strengthens critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills while contributing meaningfully to a broader academic conversation.
